Abstract
Even though the culprits of terror attacks were incarcerated in maximum security prisons, little methodologies had been developed there on religious education in relation to Christian-Muslim interactions as had been done in the society where they committed the crime. Therefore, this study focused on establishing how religious education positioned itself to corroborate the methodologies of Christian-Muslim relations in Kibos and Kodiaga Maximum Security prisons. This study was guided by the following objectives: to establish the existence of religious education in Kibos and Kodiaga maximum security prisons, to scrutinize the methodologies of religious education in Kibos and Kodiaga maximum security prisons, to examine the effects of methodologies of religious education on Cristian-Muslim relations in Kibos and Kodiaga maximum security prisons and to propose enhancements on methodologies of religious education in prison based on Christian-Muslim relations paradigms. This is a qualitative study that deployed a descriptive study design. The data collection technique was questionnaires, and descriptive statistics was used as a technique of data analysis. Purposive sampling was done. The study established that religious education was prevalent in the studied prison. In addition, it also established that it did not effectively corroborate methodologies of Christian -Muslim relations. Therefore, the study recommends that it addresses Christian-Muslim Relations.
