Abstract

The inspiration for effective management lies in the performance of an organization, as an organization's motive is null and void if it fails to meet its predetermined goals and desires. Organizational overall performance drives success and fosters excellent workplace relationships. However, many companies face resistance from their personnel while trying to introduce modifications to the company subculture, ensuing in sizeable turnover. The purpose of this study was to assess the influence of corporate culture on the organizational overall performance of CORAT Africa, Kenya. The study specifically focused on the extent to which stewardship, integrity, accountability, and professionalism influence the organizational Performance of CORAT Africa, Kenya. As guiding frameworks, the study drew on Edgar Schein's Culture theory, the Mc Kinsey 7S Framework, and Systems theory. The study employed a descriptive design and included 60 CORAT Africa employees, using a census approach due to the small target population. The study employed a semi-structured questionnaire, and a pilot study was conducted to determine the instrument's validity and reliability. The analysis was carried out using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and descriptive analysis results were presented in the form of tables and charts. A multiple linear regression model was used to investigate the relationship between the dependent and independent variables. The result showed that all four Corporate Culture factors (stewardship, integrity, accountability, and professionalism) were positively correlated with organizational performance, with stewardship exhibiting the strongest correlation. The multiple regression analysis indicated that the predictor variables significantly predicted organization performance, accounting for 72.1% of the variance in employee performance at CORAT Africa. The study recommends CORAT Africa to foster a culture of stewardship, integrity, accountability, and professionalism, by creating a positive work environment that empowers employees and facilitates their success, encourage a collective culture, prioritize the establishment and reinforcement of ethical principles and provide fair treatment of individuals, develop and implement policies and practices that promote fairness, transparency, and accountability, create mentorship programs and regular ethics training and provide clear guidelines for her employees and lastly foster a culture that encourages continuous training and development opportunities, develops a sense of calling to the profession, and recognizes and rewards dedication and competence. The study has added to the body of knowledge through unveiling the influence of corporate culture on organizational performance; will function as a theoretical framework for future research in the area; and is expected to provide critical insights to the non-profit sector with the goal of creating empowering environments and providing proactive assistance to improve organizational performance.
