Abstract
The study whose topic is rehabilitation of Juvenile Delinquents addresses the challenges facing development with a focus on the youth. They are the future of our society, yet there appears to be loopholes in the formation process thus creating a gap in their development. The researcher looks at Juvenile Delinquents as a representation of the wider youth noting their interaction with more institutions/systems:- the police, the society (the families they come from and neighborhoods they belong to), the children courts and also the educational system (the schools they attend). The term youth is used widely, at times covering adolescents and young adults; this research however, looks at the youth whose ages are between 12 and 18 years. The aim is to see how the different challenges facing the youth have led them into delinquency and how with the participation of the entire society represented in different bodies could work together to enhance the development of these youth; making them productive to their respective communities thus building on to societal development.
