Abstract

The purpose of the dissertation is to investigate the concept of Biblical Priesthood, women status and functions, and the perceptions of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in South Kenya Conference on women ordination. The research was done by use of both qualitative and quantitative methods. I collected data by gathering information from both library and electronically stored information. During my field study, I conducted a descriptive survey to gather information from respondents through interviews and questionnaires. In my findings and interpretations, the report shows that South Kenya Conference is divided over the issue of women ordination without a clear Biblical stand, however the majority are against women ordination. The researcher recommended for readers to understand the context of the texts used in the arguments about women ordination and further deeper research to be done.
